MEPs present decided about a number of organisational matters related to the set-up of the Intergroup and discussed urban issues in the current work of parliamentary committees.
First formal meeting of the URBAN Intergroup took place after the December official approval of the intergroups accredited to work at the European Parliament in the 2009-2014 parliamentary term. Participants chose the President of the Intergroup and other members of the URBAN Bureau, decided about a number of organisational matters and discussed upcomming events and conferences.
Second informal meeting of the Intergroup with the participation of Mme Anne Pons, executive director of ADEUS (Agency for development and urbanism of the Strasbourg Agglomeration). Participants and invited guests discussed the characteristics, spatial development and current urban development related issues in the City ofStrasbourg.
First informal meeting of the URBAN Intergroup. Interested MEPs gathered to discuss possible cooperation and agreed to put forward the URBAN Intergroup proposal for the new term at the European Parliament. Invited guest, Mr. Jean Marie BEAUPUY, former President of the URBAN – Housing Intergroup presented its activities in the previous parliamentary term.
