Joint URBAN – EMI survey on the urban dimension of cohesion policy
The negotiation about the shape of the future cohesion policy after 2013 is entering the decisive phase. The specific regulations for structural funds and the Cohesion Fund are currently under discussion at the European Parliament and in the Council; urban related issues are one of the topics of the debate. You can join the discussion by participating in the joint questionnaire of the URBAN Intergroup and the European Metropolitan network Institute (EMI).

Working lunch with EUROCITIES
On the 8th of May the URBAN Intergroup organised jointly with EUROCITIES a working lunch to discuss the major issues related to the next structural funds programming period relevant for cities. Several MEPs involved in the work on the new regulations debated with numerous representatives of cities from across Europe at 4 thematic tables about: partnership, functional urban areas, new territorial instruments and the ESF contribution to urban development.
